What Are My Chances of Getting Cancer?

by Dr. Robert Swain

When discussing cancer I could fill about five pages, but will try to keep it down to one.

First I will like to explain what cancer is.  Cancer is a mutant cell or cells.  We all have these mutant cells within our body at all times.  The question is . . . how does our body deal with these cancer cells?

Picture this.  The inside of our body is waging a constant war.  Just like any war, the side that is better prepared and supplied wins the war.  A prime example is what is happening in other countries with the revolutions going on.  The better prepared side wins the battle.  So here is the scoop when it comes to your chances of getting cancer.  If your body is stronger than the cancer cells, you reduce the risk of getting cancer.  "So how does one build a stronger body?," you ask.

This question seems simple, but it is very complex.  First, we need to know what causes cancer cells. Then, what helps them grow into a full blown cancer? Then we can learn how to stop them in their tracks.

I bet you didn't know health experts believe that a poor diet is a major factor in the cause of one-third of cancers?  Tobacco causes another third.  There are about 1.3 to 1.4 million people diagnosed with cancer every year.  So we could prevent over a million cancers every year just by changing our heath habits.  That's powerful.  I will discuss how to attain this power of better health later.

The lack of exercise is another cause of poor health and cancer.  Once again you ask how? Researchers have established that regular activity helps to control weight, reduce risk of high blood pressure and diabetes, helps maintain strong muscles and bones, and promotes well-being.

Physical activity is also associated with reducing the risk of colon and breast cancers.  Studies also show physical activity also reduces the risk of prostate, lung, and uterine cancers.  Here's the shocking news.  It is estimated that over 50% of American do not get enough physical activity.

Also contributing to the explosion of cancer is the excessive amounts of toxins and pollutants, high stress lifestyles, poor quality junk food that's full of pesticides, and irradiated and genetically altered foods — just to name a few factors.

Constant exposure to tens of thousands of manmade chemicals from birth onward, chlorinated and fluoridated water, electromagnetic radiation, and pesticides and other toxins, leads to the creation of too many free radicals and excessive numbers of cancerous cells.

All these weaken the immune system and alter the internal environment in the body to an environment that promotes the growth of cancer.

So here is my strategy.  Kill the cancer cells without harming the body.

Easier said then done.  I have composed 11 strategies to help reduce the risk of developing cancer.  What? I have run out of room.  I will have to give you the strategies in the next exciting newsletter.  You may contact me at Morro Bay Chiro or by phone (805) 801-6638 if you need more info or have questions.

Thank you for reading my articles and for your input.

Yours for better health.
