Eye on the Coast by Ginger Rushton

Ginger Snaps is the name of my most treasured photography project. June 30th Opera San Luis Obispo will present its fourth salon recital, a program of favorite numbers from eleven Gilbert and Sullivan operettas, performed by Opera A La Carte. The group celebrates its 43rd year as America's oldest nationally touring G&S repertory company. OperaSLO Artistic Director Brian Asher Alhadeff became acquainted with the group in 2003 when he conducted a production of The Mikado for Opera Pasadena. Read More

Shutterbugs, featuring Catherine Ryan Hyde

I write fiction as a profession, and take photos just as a way of sharing observations. This is not false modesty. It's a kind of realism. I look at the work of professional photographers, and I know they're doing something I'm not. They are adding something to the moment. I'm documenting it, without much embellishment.   Read More
