Art for Art's Sake

The Morro Bay Museum of Natural History is planning "Art for Art's Sake," an event at the museum set for the evening of November 3rd.  Donated works of local artists will be raffled and auctioned to raise money for the repair of the Native American sculpture located at the entrance of the museum. Vandals damaged the sculpture, forcefully removing the Peregrine Falcon. Read More

It’s said that we have in our own veins, blood, sweat, and tears, the same proportion of salt as ocean water. Opera SLO by Kathryn Bumpass

October kicks off a new season of the Met Live in HD series and showcases OperaSLO's fall production of Gilbert and Sullivan's Yeomen of the Guard. Maestro Brian Asher Alhadeff will lead the production of Yeomen in performances Saturday, October 22 at 7:30pm and Sunday, October 23 at 2pm. His exciting pre-concert presentation will begin one hour prior to show time. All performances are in the Clark Center in Arroyo Grande. Tickets are available online at Opera San Luis Obispo or Clark Center at $25-50. This production has been honed by performances in southern California and promises to be a highlight of the fall schedule. Read More
