Deception Pass Bridge
The Deception
Pass Bridge in Washington
State is a two-lane bridge connecting Whidbey Island to Fidalgo Island.
It was
a Public Works Administration project built by workers from the
Conservation Corps.
The photographer
- Hazard Beach,
Montaña de Oro State Beach, California: I enjoy
taking photos of people taking
photos. What caught me about this photo was the happy smiles of the
people being photographed in contrast to the
tragically dead and bloated Humpback Whale.
The California I love, no clutter, no sound, only oaks and rolling
hills.
The Red House - Guemes Island - I had an unreal feeling about this
house. Had something mysterious just happened? The house looked like a
giant miniature built
from a kit. |
The Restroom at Crater Lake - This environmentally friendly
outhouse was a true work of stone art. All cameras were focused on the
startling blue of the lake while my camera was focused on the outhouse.
The men probably thought I was a peeping Jane. |
Yosemite - Bridal Veil Falls: Beauty is in the Eyes of the Beholder
I
enjoy taking candid photos of people taking photos. I wonder who the
people are and what they are thinking.
I am assuming the young people are romantically involved, and the girl
is trying to look sexy. Her mother is hoping her
daughter will not fall off the wall. The father on the left is bored
and wishes he was back home playing bocce ball with
his friends.
I was visiting
friends who lived on
Guemes Island. We were talking in the living room when I noticed the
sunset.
The photo was taken with my first digital camera, a Panasonic 3MP. I am
a minimalist photographer. I point and click.
Island Sunset - Guemes Island, Washington, San Juan Islands. Actual
colors.
