2012 Cambria Scarecrow Festival - Plan ahead and mark your calendars!

Scarecrows

For the entire month of October, over 250 of the most amazing, artistic and liveliest scarecrows will be taking up residence throughout Cambria's East & West Villages and Moonstone Beach Drive.  Cambria will celebrate the arrival of the scarecrows with food, music and fun during Harvest Festival the 2nd weekend in October.

The Scarecrow Festival has been growing leaps and bounds since its introduction in 2009.  It is a free event that, while presented by the Cambria Historical Society, does not raise any funds for the organization.  It is just a real fun month-long event that is the Society's way of giving back to the community.

The 1st Annual Rock 'N Soccer Morro Bay Beach Tournament
Sunday, October 28th, 2012
Next to the world famous Morro Rock in Morro Bay, California

Rock 'N Soccer Morro Bay Beach Tournament

Why A Beach Soccer Tournament?

The families and supporters of the Morro Bay High School Soccer teams wanted to create an event that would hopefully accomplish the following:\

- Raise funds to support the MBHS Soccer Program.
- Establish a fun annual event that the community could look forward to each year.
- Create a successful event that soccer fans and non-soccer fans could get excited about.
- Help promote enthusiasm for beach soccer and traditional soccer on the Central Coast.

It’s no secret that budgets have tightened substantially for most schools at the district, county and state levels. Supporting groups, such as MBHS Athletic Boosters and the Pirate Soccer Club, try to help out as much as possible to provide funds and assistance whenever possible. With the Rock ‘N Soccer Beach Tournament, we hope to help raise funds to provide things that are no longer (or never were) paid for by the school or district. These include gear bags, apparel, equipment, bus rides to away games and tournament fees.
Thanks for your support and GO PIRATES!
