Dear Editor,

From: Dianne Fox
Morro Bay

Loving "As Seen From My Couch" Thank you Sandra Beebe for your commentary. Refreshing, sharp, and much much appreciated

From: Marc Baker
Los Osos

The last election was my first to participate in as a volunteer. It gave me a real interest in politics, especially the behind the scenes deals and misdeeds. Your coverage is informative and mind-boggling. I read each article to the end and then push my friends to read. Great stuff

From: Lindsey and Pugli
Morro Bay Vacationers

This letter is from Pugli, but since he's just a dog I have to translate for him. BARK BARK BARK = Why can't we play on the beach? I want to run free BARK BARK

[From the Editor: Thanks so much for having your person write for you, Pugli. The explanation for why you can't run free on the beaches is long and, most likely for you, boring. It involves the protection of various species of critters and something about birds wanting not wanting to get bitten. Write to State Parks ask them for details. Meanwhile, the beach on the south side of Morro Rock seems to be off-leash friendly.]

I won't bog you down with a letter from me every month praising Officer Hannibal and his stories. Just consider them appreciated with every turn. The story of the car fire gave me shivers. Amazon.com doesn't come up with any books by him. Surely he has written some. If not, he needs to. Great stuff

The story by Richard Hannibal in last month's issue [Stories From My Heart: Child in Car Fire] was breathtakingly stunning and heart rending. We are sure many readers were taken aback and maybe offended, but want to thank you for publishing this dramatic piece. We won't soon forget, if ever, what happened to the mother, her son, or to "the uniform." Thank you, Officer Hannibal, for sharing your stories, your life experiences, and your gift for writing.

From: Chris Mans

My husband was a commercial fisherman here in Florida for 28 years. We often visited Morro Bay on our vacations - some vacation, more fishing boats Can't you add some articles about your fishing families?

[From the Editor: We'd love to find someone from our commercial fishing community to write for us, but haven't had any luck yet, Chris. We'll keep looking. Meanwhile, thanks for being one of our readers. ]

From: Joyce Lohan
Wanting to Move to Morro Bay

How do you get to live in Morro Bay? My family and I visited there when I was just about 15 years old and reading your articles and seeing all the pictures makes me want to come back to live. Thank you.
