Dear Editor,

From: Bob Ward
Los Osos

I find it interesting that the author of the article "Los Osos Sewer Rates Ordinance Introduced" is Julie Tacker. Is this the lion coming back to make sure her prey is dead? Julie, maybe your article is factual, perhaps not, considering the position you and your pride have about the Los Osos sewer system. Why are you so critical of the county of SLO and their approach to providing us with said sewer system? If you and the small band of activists had not interfered with what was already started, WE WOULD HAVE A FUNCTIONING SEWER SYSTEM at a much lower cost than what faces us now. I wish I could take the difference and charge it to the CSD for their mismanagement. Instead we face fines, which have not been resolved, we face lawsuits from the contractors when you summarily cancelled their contracts and who knows what else. You've done enough damage. Please pick another cause that only affects yourself when you mess it up. I and others are tired of your rhetoric and the damage you have caused.

Is it possible that Morro Bay is screwed because of less than fifty votes? Are you people not paying attention? Did you just pick a name that looked familiar? Yates is a disgrace and an embarrassment. We had to put up with him before as he fed the city to his greedy friends. Can't he find a boat that needs sailing far, far away?

Journal, you can do your part. I read Sandra Beebe's column religiously. Her insights and sharp wit are needed now more than ever. Please ask her to reconsider. We need her observations!

My partner and I are really hoping that Sandra Beebe's column will return. It is so seldom that the voice of reason is heard in politics - especially in small towns. With the disaster that is Bill Yates coming back as mayor to ignore everyone but his creepy cohorts, we need to be informed. We agree with a previous writer - Bring Back the Couch!

There seems to be little reason to have print newspapers anymore. I get better information, news, and entertainment from the Slo Coast Journal writers. Thank you!

Los Osos

Like most of the population of Los Osos, I was interested to see that Carlock's Bakery has new owners. What a shame. Have you been paying attention to what is going on there? Loyal employees have lost their jobs or had their hours cut back. A friend who works there says the owners watch them constantly as if they are not to be trusted. I've been in twice since the change. The atmosphere isn't welcoming anymore. Let's hope this is all temporary and we will have our warm, welcoming, delicious bakery back again. If not, this is a huge loss to our community.
