A Sampling of What Our Officers Avenue Been
Taking Care of During July

Between July 1 through July 31, the Morro Bay Police Department logged over 1010 calls. Here is a sampling of what was going on.

July 1—Burglary 2nd Degree on Embarcadero.  Victim reported her vehicle side window was smashed out
and a camera was takenfrom inside locked car. 

July 2—Burglary 2nd Degree on Market Avenue.  Vehicle windows were broken and items were stolen.

Burglary 2nd Degree on Atascadero Road.  Burglary to multiple vehicles.  Still under investigation.

July 3—Petty theft on Quintana Road.  58 year old female was arrested for petty theft.  She was released
at scene with signed promise to appear in court.

July 4—Infliction of Corporal Injury incident on Morro Avenue.  40 year old female was arrested for domestic violence on her boyfriend. 

Taking Vehicle without Owner's Consent on Colman. 

Report of a 65 year old man down with a head injury and bleeding.  Subject possibly intoxicated.  He was transported to Sierra Vista Hospital by ambulance. Upon being medically cleared by hospital staff he was arrested for two out of County warrants and for auto theft. 

July 6—Concealing stolen property on Island Street.  41 year old female and 19 year old female were both arrested for being in possession of stolen police property. They were booked into County Jail.

Loud/unreasonable noise on Kodiak.  Report of a loud party with about 40 people in attendance

Drawing or exhibiting any deadly weapons on Sequoia.  Citizen at Del Mar school reports he was menaced with a knife and threatened. 
A 17 year old juvenile male and a 22 year old male were arrested and booked on felony charges. 

July 7—Possession/receipt of forgery on Morro Bay Boulevard.  Male suspected for passing a false check. 

July 9—Grand theft exceeding $400 on Main Street.  Theft report of a men's mountain bike.

July 14—Petty theft on Hemlock.  Theft of a large clay pot from the front driveway of a home. 

July 16—Vandalism on Morro Bay Boulevard.  Officers took a report of vandalism to a fence.

July 17—Fraudulent use of a credit card on Pacific Street.  Unauthorized use of victim's credit card. 

July 20—Murder Attempt on Main Street.  31 year old male attempted to kill the victim by running him over with a vehicle on Alder Avenue.  Vehicle matched description of a recently stolen, gold colored pick-up that also has an associated a stolen handgun.

July 23—Burglary 2nd Degree on State Park Road.  Door to a motel maintenance shop was kicked in.  No loss was discovered.

July 24—Murder Attempt on Laurel Avenue.  Officers responded to an assault with a firearm.  Case still under investigation.

                 Possession of alcohol under 21 on Olive Street.  Two 18 year old males arrested for person under 21 in possession of alcohol in public. 

July 27—Danger to self and others on Piney Way.  Reporting party called police to report a female had cut her wristt with a razor blade.  Female was taken to Slo Mental Health.
