Morro Bay Seniors to Hold Their First Book, Crafts, and Coins Sale

The Morro Bay Senior Citizens will hold their first used books, crafts, paintings and coins sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 3, at the Morro Bay Senior Center, 1001 Kennedy Way, Morro Bay, featuring many older volumes, hand-made items and other collectibles.

The Senior Citizens have many activities to offer, such as opportunities to learn crafting, free blood pressure testing, seniors driver training courses, legal assistance and medical equipment for loaning. More information is available on the Seniors' website.

But now the Seniors intend to add a book and crafts sale to its repertoire because it has received so many donations from members and the public, Pauline Stansbury, the Seniors president, said.

The Seniors latest newsletter with news, activities and events can be read here.

Questions, concerns and/or comments can be forwarded to the Seniors at via email or by calling 772-4421.

The Senior Citizens offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Morro Bay Senior Citizens were established as an organization in 1974 and moved into its current quarters in the Community Center when it was built in 1989.
