The story centers on a young wife and mother on a failing farm in rural Tennessee who experiences something she cannot explain, and how her discovery energizes various competing factions—religious leaders, climate scientists, environmentalists, politicians—trapping her in the center of the conflict and ultimately opening up her world. Saturday, January 11, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m., Morro Bay Library - Beautify Our Community Event with Morro Bay In Bloom

Join your neighbors for gardening therapy at the Morro Bay Library for planting and brush removal sponsored by Morro Bay in Bloom. Remember to wear sunscreen, a hat and bring gardening gloves and something to drink. Also, bring a garden trowel, spade or hand pruners even if you are planning to let someone else borrow them. There will be suitable activities available for everyone, regardless of physical ability. Even if you just bring a chair to watch, your cheerleading efforts are always appreciated!
