Hooray! The Morro Bay Friends of the Library has taken the first step to begin our long-awaited interior remodel project!  I am pleased to announce that the MBFOL Board of Directors has selected Reiss Design Studio as the architect for the project.  The owner, Shana Reiss, is creative, professional, approachable, and a CalPoly graduate with a degree in architecture as well as an MBA.  She is full of ideas for our interior space and we are certain that she has the ability to transform her ideas into a fabulous yet functional library of the future for Morro Bay.  If you are curious about some of her past work, here is her website.

The Friends Board of Directors' Remodel Committee is working hard to begin this process.  Stay tuned for updates regarding the project.  Also, the project will be funded entirely from Friends fundraising efforts and community donations.  Thank you to past donors and to all book sale patrons!  Donations for the remodel are always welcome and appreciated!

Note:  Pre-School story time is moving to Tuesday beginning on September 11. The final Thursday Pre-school story time will be September 6.

Note from Karen Robert:
This will be the last month we will be doing our book to movie discussion month. But, we also think it is a special month in which mystery lovers might want to join us, as well! We will not only be reading and discussing a mystery during our 3rd Wednesday this month, but we will also be showing it during our 4th Wednesdays @ the Movies!
