Dear Slo Coast Journal:
Last month you ran a letter from Rouvaishyana encouraging people to not leave litter on the trails. He also suggested that conscientous hikers remove the litter they find. My wife and I visited Morro Bay in July. We don't have the good fortune to live in a beautiful area like the Central Coast but visit often. While visiting, we were astonished at the messes we would find in what should be honored, pristine areas. A pat on the back to all who follow his example.

PS Thanks so much for this publication. We have bookmarked the site and signed up for the Twitter feed. Excellent job to all!
Surfs up! Love reading what Charles Loe has to say each month [Views From the Lineup]. Surfing is one of those things always meant to get to. Just didn't happen. Thanks Charles!!

Love the Slo Coast Journal, but how about what's going on at the high school? You're leaving out a big segment of your population. My granddaughter attends Morro Bay High. We are in Denver and would love to read about her school, the teachers, and whatever activities are going on around her. Any plans for adding coverage?

From the Editor: We're working on that and hope to have cub reporters soon. Anyone reading this know of observant, involved kids who want to report what's going on at their school - sports, social events, arts, etc.?
The Birds Eye View page by Mike Stiles is full of top-notch information. When I retired, I started watching birds and am quickly getting hooked. Mr. Stiles is helping me pay attention to what is going on around me instead of just bird descriptions. Thanks!
