Volunteers are needed to help rescue and care for marine mammals found on our shores. The Marine Mammal Center, a non-profit organization that rescues, rehabilitates, and releases injured, sick, and orphaned marine mammals will hold an introduction meeting Wednesday, January 11 at 6:30 pm. The following are merely highlights taken from hundreds of hours of work output of the Morro Bay Police Department's routine law enforcement, investigations, contacts and follow-ups; if you can call anything in law enforcement "routine."

  • In the morning of December 1st, officers responded to Los Osos to back-up a deputy who requested assistance with the arrest of an uncooperative felony warrant suspect. MBPD officers arrived and the suspect was taken into custody without further incident.
