Museum of Natural History Seeks Volunteer Electrical Engineer

The Morro Bay Museum of Natural History seeks a retired or semi-retired electrical engineer who can volunteer some time to help troubleshoot and repair exhibits.  Our previous volunteer engineer has moved out of the area, but left two extensive manuals filled with diagrams, parts lists, and repair procedures.  The Museum has a number of exhibits with electronic or computer controls.  We need someone with a background in circuit design and/or repair who can help us keep our exhibits running, at least on a monthly basis.  To inquire or get further information, please contact Rouvaishyana, Museum Manager at (805) 772-2694 ext. 105 or via email.

2012 Mind Walk Lecture Series

Mind Walk

Mind Walks are lectures held in the auditorium at the Morro Bay Museum of Natural History every Monday morning, January through March.  In 2012, some of the talks will also be given on the previous Saturday. Admission is free for members of the Central Coast Natural History Association.  Non-members must pay the standard Museum entry fee.

By order of the state Fire Marshall, the Museum auditorium is limited to 58 people.  Space will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and doors will be closed when the room is full.  To avoid being turned away, consider coming on a Saturday when certain talks will occur, or plan to arrive early on Monday.  Remember that parking at the Museum is limited.

Below is a list of 2012 Mind Walks.  For more information on speakers and talk descriptions, see Winter Nature Notes or the museum website at CCNHA.
