Revise

by Shana Ogren Lourey

What would you do today if you knew you would not fail?

Then do it.

Run a mile, write a brain injury book, work again since becoming brain injured, cook new dishes, have more children?

Recovery

I write these words on separate post-it notes, and then tack the notes across my kitchen table.  As I complete each task, I rip off the note, crumple it up, and toss it in the trash.  Ha!  Mission accomplished.

My post-it notes do not fail.  They remind me daily of goals that I hope to persuade myself to undertake.

What is a risk?  Does it always mean danger?  Perhaps the danger is often just the fear of failure itself.
