A Sampling of What Our Officers Have Been
Taking Care of in August

Between August 1st thru August 27, the Morro Bay Police Department respond to 900 calls.

August 1 - Burglary, 2nd degree, Tahiti Street. A juvenile was arrested for theft to a business and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

August 9 - Burglary, 1st degree, business on Main Street.

August 11 - Main Street. A pedestrian tripped on raised portion of sidewalk and fell. A slight injury was sustained; medical help declined.

August 12 - Burglary, 2nd degree, Morro Bay Boulevard. Two juveniles stole two 12 packs of Corona.

August 14 - Main Street. Keys were found and brought to the police station.

Elm Street. A deceased person was found in a residence.

Monterey Avenue. A elderly person, who apparently died of natural causes, was found.

August 17 - Burglary, 2nd Degree, Atascadero Road. Victim reported a white female adult asked to use their bathroom and ended up taking off with a cell phone. Suspect left in an Escalade.

August 18 - Pacific & Market Avenue. Suspected self-neglect elder abuse. It’s still under investigation.

Non-injury traffic collision, NB SR 1 @ Main Street. A woman collided into the back of a truck.

Petty Theft, Easter Street. Unknown subject entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a purse.

August 20 - Petty Theft, Quintana Road. A 45 year old male was arrested for shoplifting and possession of marijuana.

August 21 - Embezzlement, Morro Bay Boulevard. A report of theft by an employee was filed.

August 22 - DUI, Easter Street. A 38 year old male arrested.

Possession, Main Street. A juvenile arrested for less than an ounce of marijuana. He was released at scene after signing a citation.

August 23 - Vandalism, Quintana Road. Three Juveniles were seen going into a drainage culvert with spray paint cans,
possibly to use for graffiti. They were arrested for vandalism and released to their parents.

DUI, Atascadero Road. A 22 year old man was arrested and booked into SLO County Jail.

August 25 - Traffic Collision, Embarcadero. A lady versus a parked car.

Disorderly Conduct, Morro Bay Boulevard. A 61 year old man was drunk.

Deceased, South Bay Boulevard. An adult male found in home. Investigation turned over to Slo Sheriffs Coroner.

August 27 - DUI and Possession of Prescription Narcotics Without Prescription. A 53 year old man stopped for hitting a parked car and leaving the scene. He was arrested.
