Duck Amuck
Limerick and Art by George Asdel
There once was a little duck
Who had a lot of pluck
Freedom he sought
No problem he thought
What could possible go amuck?
Rough Edges
by
Curt Hinkle
We snuck out
Left our jackets
Forgotten on purpose
Snowy T-shirts
Sleeves rolled twice
Levis rolled as well
And engineer boots
Sweet buckle at the side |
The Gift
by
Betty Finocchiaro
Strolling quietly
window shopping
two souls with nothing to mar
their world
Karma at its best
A softly shining pink sapphire
catches your eye
feeling the intensity of
your generosity
I whisper,
this need not be
Why this tangible sign
of your love,
a love that has illuminated
so many days and nights
of our lives
the gift that cannot compete
I've loved you
when there were no
shiny baubles
to light up my eyes
so let me whisper again
my love,
I have all I need
just having you near
strolling quietly
