Special Notice from the Morro Bay Arbor Day Committee: The "Trees That Enhance Our Local Landscape" Photo Contest has been announced as part of the the Morro Bay Arbor Day Celebration, which takes place on October 24th this year. The purpose of the contest is to inspire the planting of more trees in the community. Emphasis should be on how trees beautify urban areas, as well as providing habitat for wildlife. Submit your entries to our Arbor Day Flickr site by October 10th. Please identify the location of the tree(s) in your photo. Winning artists will be notified in time to have prints made of their entries to be on display for the Arbor Day Celebration.
