We have been enjoying the beautiful Catch display that has been on loan from the History Center of San Luis Obispo. Mr. Halls currently teaches photojournalism and picture editing at Fresno City College. His work has appeared in magazines and newspapers around the world. He loves to portray life in common settings where people live unnoticed. This simple approach, he hopes, reveals the importance of each life on its own terms.  Meet Mr. Halls who has captured the fisherman's world in his photos.  He'll share insight about photography and his experiences with the fishermen of our area.

Books (for the Wednesdays program only) are available for checkout in advance at the Morro Bay Library. The Fall Series 2011 Booklist, The Winter Series 2012 Booklist, 4th Fridays Mystery Readers 2012 Booklist, and Special Events Series Flyers are available for download at MorroBayBookDiscussionGroup.org or at the library. For more information contact the Group Facilitator, email Karen Robert or call 225-3131.

The Morro Bay Friends of the Library fund all expenses of the library programs listed above. The MBFOL's purpose is to establish and maintain an association of persons interested in libraries; to focus public attention on Morro Bay Library branch needs; to support and cooperate with the county, city and state to enhance library services and facilities; and to stimulate gifts, endowments and bequests.  For more information contact Christine Johnson, President or go to Morro Bay Friends of the Library.
