Awakening - Everybody Wants Peace

"Everybody wants peace.  Everyone is looking for inner contentment.  Everyone struggles with realizing that the good feelings that come from material goods, fame or fortune all so often fall away.  Particularly in this holiday season, people can feel lost, lonely, and adrift.  However, there are tools and resources to help people find the path to peace and contentment.”  These are the words of the Reverend Nancy Ballinger, Founding Minister and Spiritual Director of AWAKENING Interfaith Spiritual Community, an inclusive group of people of all ages and backgrounds who come together to grow in compassion, understanding and support of one another on the spiritual path. Morro Bay Library Events by Christine Johnson

Thanks to our various fundraisers, we have raised $26,700 for your Morro Bay Library!  Our largest fundraisers are our quarterly book sales, which generated $14,400 this year AND did very well in our new location at the Morro Bay Community Center.  All funds raised go directly to your library for materials, programs, and new technology.  For example, check out the new kids' computer in the Library — AMAZING! It's all right if adults try it out, too!  Just don't make the kiddos wait too long. Read More   (Seriously - read more. Words are brain aerobics.)
