Park Champions

Volunteer

Right now California State Parks face unprecedented budget cuts and closures. In response, the California State Parks Foundation continues to expand our Park Champions Program. This program provides consistent, sustainable volunteer support in the area of park improvements. Partnering with California State Parks, CSPF will hold an upcoming work day at Montana de Oro State Park in San Luis Obispo. This work day will focus on trail and park maintenance work, including drain clearance, winterizing, and trail tread repair. The day is planned for Saturday, December 3rd, 9:00am – 1:00pm.

If you are interested in making a difference at Montana de Oro State Park, please register for this work day at calparks.org/parkchampions and click on the Montana de Oro link. Here are some helpful hints for how to sign up online:

Clicking on the date/time details for the particular workday, and you will access an online registration page.  The system will ask you for a user login and password. If you don’t have one, just click "forgot password" and you will be emailed a user login and password so that you can complete your registration.

Once registered, you will be sent a confirmation email with details a day or two before the work day. This online registration is important so we can accurately plan for the day.

Hope to see you there!

Sincerely,
California State Parks Foundation
