Didn't Your Momma Teach You Any Better?

Surfin' Car
Photo taken September 21 around 7:00am on beach north of Morro Rock

The car in the left of the picture above is a Honda that is being towed out of the surf by a Morro Bay Harbor Patrol truck. It had been spotted by surfers about 75 yards off-shore just north of Morro Rock around 6:30am. Fearing someone might be in the car, Morro Bay police officers waded, in full gear, into the surf up to their thighs. When no one was found, a beach and ocean search was conducted involving the Morro Bay Fire Department, the Harbor Patrol, and the Coast Guard.

According to reports, the vehicle had been recently stolen in Paso Robles and was deliberately driven into the surf. No suspects are known at this time.

It's going to take more than a Wet Vac to clean up the mess.

Dogs Restricted Areas Are There For A Reason

Most dog owners on the Central Coast are responsible. However,  a few are not. They seem to feel they are allowed to taking their dogs into restricted areas.

Not so, guys. Get your chit together. You like to visit the parks - take some responsibility. Oh, do the dog a favor too - he looks smart enough to teach you how to protect him from running into roads.

Innocent Dog Who Has Naughty Owners Control Issues Too
According to our reporter, these two college-aged guys came off a "No Dogs" trail at Montana de Oro after apparently enjoying the surf with their fun loving unleased dog.   They quickly discovered  that he wanted more fun as he ignored their instruction to get into the car.   The two of them chased him all over an area where dogs are not allowed and their shouts for him to stop and come back were disregarded.  I know the cute dog couldn't read the "No Dogs" signs but one would think they could?
