A Sampling of What Our Officers Have Been
Taking Care of in September

Between September 1st thru September 28, the Morro Bay Police Department had over 1174 logged calls.

September 1 - Petty Theft at a business on the Embarcadero.

September 2 - Danger to self/others. Adult male on Hemlock Avenue tried to commit suicide. He was transported by a crisis worker to Mental Health Department.

Grand Theft Atascadero. Theft of a tricycle from the Morro Bay High School.

September 4 - Burglary 2nd Degree on Allesandro. Two storage units were forcibly entered at location. Properties taken were two laptops, camera and several power tools.

September 5 - Grand Theft on Ridgeway. Purse was stolen from vehicle.

Vandalism of $400 or more on Market Avenue. Vandalism report to the Travel Lodge Motel.

September 7 - Vandalism of $400 or more on Beach Street. Vandalism report to the Anchor Inn.

September 9 - Murder Attempt / Armed Robbery on Morro Bay Boulevard. Citizen report of a man who was stabbed. Under investigation.

Petty Theft on Morro Bay Boulevard. Theft of a boys mountain bike

Petty Theft on Napa Ave. Victim reported a theft of a trailer cover from construction trailer

September 10 - Disorderly Conduct on Atascadero Road. Man Arrested for public intoxication.

September 11 - Grand Theft on Atascadero Road. Theft of a tricycle from the Morro Bay High School.

Petty Theft on Emerald Circle. Theft of a purse.

September 16 - Vandalism of $400 of more damage on Juniper Avenue. Damage to a residential glass deck siding, valued loss at $1200.

September 18- Battery on Atascadero Road. Juvenile at High School was arrested for battery upon another student.

September 20 - Assault w/ Deadly Weapon on Morro Bay Boulevard. Male suspect stole knife from location, but when confronted by clerk he denied taking it. Clerk saw knife in vehicle and tried to detain suspect by standing behind his vehicle, but suspect backed into the clerk three or four times, knocking her backwards. Suspect fled in vehicle.

Grand Theft on Embarcadero. Report of theft from a 2 coin operated toys.

September 21- Report of Identity Theft on Morro Bay Boulevard.

Traffic Collision on Market Street. Non-injury hit & run traffic collision on private property. Unknown motorist versus a parked vehicle.

September 22 - Traffic Collision w/ Injury on Main Street and Quintana Road. Juvenile bicycle rider involved in single bike collision and was transported to the hospital.

September 23 - Burglary 2nd Degree on Main Street. Victims vehicle broken into and camera lens was stolen.

September 24 - Burglary 2nd Degree on Atascadero Road. Victim reported two cameras stolen from car.

September 25 - Counterfeit $20.00 bill passed at a convenient store on Morro Bay Boulevard.

Report of Identity Theft on Norwich St.

September 26 - DUI Alcohol/Drugs on SR 41. Driver under the influence, suspended license and violation of probation.

September 27 - DUI Alcohol/Drugs on Mindoro St. Man arrested for driving under the influence.
