Each day we awaken with the faith that with daybreak the Sun will shine its light upon the earth as the dawning of a fresh new day with all its possibilities. As your Astro Guide, I will highlight significant planetary shifts that will be occurring during the current month that will prove to be interesting and helpful as you express yourself in the world.

Fear Not.
What is not real, never will be.
What is real, always was and cannot be destroyed.

The Fool

April 1st is known as "April Fool’s Day," a day when we play pranks upon each other in the form of illusions and untruths. The ancient lore of the Fool is something quite different. The Fool represents a state of consciousness that is fearless because of its innocence. According to author Angeles Arrien, in her book, The Tarot Handbook, the Fool…” (1987), the Fool unifies feelings (water) with energy and vision (fire) to create original and innovative ideas (steam).

The placement of the planets on April 1st, are true to the lore of the Fool. The Sun (self-expression) and Uranus (change) in Aries provides the fire, while Mercury (communication) and Neptune (imagination) in Pisces provides the water. These energetic forces will give you the steam to express any innovative idea that has been percolating in your brain.

Keep the archetype of the Fool in your heart and mind during the Libra Lunar Eclipse on April 15th. The lunar light of this full moon will be in the shadows activating your fears whose home only exists in the formless foundation of your mind.

Continue to peer through the telescope of your mind, for your discoveries will be vast, gained by the four planets when they move into a 90 degree angle from each other to form the second Grand Cardinal Cross in 2014. The emphasis is on relationships indicated by the location of the four planets within the zodiac wheel. The quality of the elements of fire, water, air and earth are at their most active in Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn.

The planet Mars in the Cardinal air sign of Libra is stationed in the 10th house of our relationships out in the world. How are they being challenged? What action or actions do we need to take toward social justice in our community or even our career? The planet Uranus in the Cardinal fire sign of Aries is stationed in the 4th house of relationship to family. Uranus wants us to make changes in our familial relationships. Aries wants us to do it now! The challenge before us is to maintain a balance between our relationships in the world and home. Pluto in the Cardinal earth sign of Capricorn is stationed in the 1st house of relationship to self.

However, Pluto, the Transformer is transiting in conservative Capricorn. The challenge will be the art of letting go of pride. Pluto in the first house will take action to uncover the rage that has been simmering within, concerning our relationships in the community, our career and the truth of our intentions. Jupiter in the Cardinal water sign of Cancer is stationed in the 7th house of one-on-one relationships in opposition to Pluto in Capricorn. This house has also been called the house of projection which is a good aspect in this particular situation. Jupiter in Cancer in the 7th house will project the positive shadow in a gentle manner.

On April 28th we experience another eclipse. This one is an earthy Taurus Solar Eclipse New Moon. A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth. For a period of time, the rays of the Sun are blocked from reaching the Earth.

I remember when I was a child and the fear that was spread when we were about to experience a Solar Eclipse . . . "Don’t look at the Sun!! You will burn out your retinas!" Because of humanity’s disconnection from our actions and our effect on the environment the breakdown of the ozone level has lost its ability to be a protective shield against the laser effect of the Sun. Don’t look at the Sun!! You will burn out your retinas! It is another reminder of the importance of vigilance and reverence for nature.

Taurus is a fixed earth sign that translates into a very effective New Moon (auspicious time for implementing new ideas or ways of being). Joining this atypical Solar Eclipse New Moon, will be the Sun and Mercury in Taurus in the 10th House of Karmic Destiny, as it relates to our role in the World.

The opportunity to manifest a critically needed shift in our collective consciousness is high. Whenever dynamic portals open, inevitably the "tension of the opposites” will present itself. Saturn (planet of "Karma”) will be transiting in the 4th house of home. For clarification, Saturn is the "ruler” of the 10th house. We have another opportunity to embrace the World Community as our Home.

What has been evident from this month’s findings is how influenced we are by the electromagnetic energy that is emitted from the Stars. May your April Fool’s Journey lead you to the understanding of what is means to be Stewards of the Cosmic Community as well as, a broader view of the word, Home.
