Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks Show at the Pier. Best party and fireworks on the coast!

(Please leave fireworks at home. No fires, fireworks or alcohol on beach. )

CAYUCOS - Fourth of July is a fabulous day in Cayucos. The sand sculptures are created by children, novices, and professionals. (Maybe you would like to build one?)They are truly works of art. The hometown parade is a delight to all. Make sure you come early to find parking and your observation spot. And the fireworks display being shot off the pier? Well, come see for yourself. Find that special spot on the beach and enjoy the show.

July 9, 12 - 5 pm Rotary Rides Again

Cambria Rotary Club Sunrise Centennial to benefit our community. Bring your own Horse to Ride the Ranch and share some rare opportunities including working cattle and participating in trail "clinic" fun challenges for you and your horse. There'll be plenty of action and great food for riders and non-riders. 927-5636 or 909-2394

July 16, 10 am - 5 pm Coastal Discovery Fair San Simeon Bay, Hearst State Beach. Activities including constructing and testing remotely-controlled underwater robots (ROV's), live animals, crafts and much more. Highlighting the "Connection of Land and Sea" are conservation and environmental exhibitors hosted by the Coastal Discovery Center, Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary and California State Parks. July 16 Brian Waterbury Memorial Rock to Pier Fun Run The 42nd Rock to Pier Fun Run. Six miles long, welcome to people of all ages and fitness levels. 772-6818
July 23 - 24 88th Annual Portuguese Celebration Cayucos. Saturday, free sopas and folk dancing at the Vets' Hall. Sunday, Grand march down Ocean avenue, Mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, and BBQ at the Vets' Hall. 459-6330
