Taking Care of During February

Between February 1st thru February 25th, the Morro Bay Police Department had over 703 logged calls.

February 1- Burglary- 1st Degree on Harbor Street. Report of a residential burglary, which is still under investigation

February 2- Burglary- 2nd Degree on Kern Avenue. Residential burglary loss of approximately $500. Under investigation.

February 4- Petty Theft on Scott Street. Theft of a business sign.

February 5- Elder Abuse on Main Street. Adult daughter violently attacks her elderly 79-year-old mother.

February 6- Vandalism less than $400 on Quintana Road. Vandalism to a business window.

February 8- Disorderly conduct on Las Tunas Street. Citizen called Police Department & reported his adult son was intoxicated at their residence. 27-year-old male was arrested for public intoxication and booked at SLO County Jail.

February 9- Vandalism of $400 or more on Atascadero Road. Unknown subject scratched paint of a parked vehicle.

February 12- Disorderly Conduct on Elm Street. Report of a male subject trying to break into residence. 27-year-old male of Morro Bay was arrested for public intoxication and booked at SLO County Jail.

Attempted Commercial Burglary on Quintana Road. Unknown subjects attempted to gain entry into a locked building by use of force. Failed in attempt but there was damage to the door.

February 13- Petty Theft on Embarcadero. Reported shoplifting at a local store.

February 15- Burglary 2nd Degree on Main Street. Unknown subject broke window of a parked vehicle and stole personal property.

Grand Theft Auto on Embarcado. Theft of potted plants & tiki statue.

February 16- Petty Theft on Quintana Avenue. Theft of property from a closed business.

February 17- Tampering/Injuring Vehicle on Fir Avenue. Damage to a parked vehicle front window.

February 18- Disorderly Conduct on Quintana Road. Male was arrested for public intoxication and transported to SLO County Jail.

February 20- Fictitious on Morro Bay Boulevard. Report of passing fictitious checks.
