A Sampling of What Our Officers Have Been
Taking Care of During March

Between March 1 thru March 29, the Morro Bay Police Department had over 906 logged calls.

March 1- Vandalism of $400 or more damage on Embarcadero. Report of vandalism to a vessel moored in the Morro Bay Harbor.

March 4- Grand theft exceeding $400 on Main Street. Theft of a lost/misplaced purse. Credit cards were used.

March 5- Fictitious on Mesa Street. Suspected counterfeit U.S Currency.

March 9- Possession of syringe on Bonita Street. Male arrested for possession of hypodermic syringes and was transported and booked into SLO County Jail.

Vehicle in accident on Napa Street. Hit and run traffic collision.

March 15- Fraudulent use of credit card on Koa Ave. Theft of identity and unauthorized use of credit cards.

Possession of marijuana on school grounds on Atascadero Road. Juvenile arrested at Morro Bay High School for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia on school grounds.

Reckless driving on private road on Coleman Drive. Male arrested for driving recklessly in a parking lot and causing damage from thrown gravel to another vehicle.

March 17- Disorderly conduct on Morro Bay Boulevard. Fifty-year-old female arrested for public intoxication.

March 20- Driving while suspected for DUI on Main Street. Male arrested for driving on a suspended license.

March 21- Vandalism less than $400 on Surf Street. Vandalism report on broken window at Veteran’s Hall.

March 22- Petty Theft on Alder Avenue. Commercial business reports the theft of a potted plant. A report was also made of a stolen potted plant on Elena Street.

March 24- Grand theft exceeding $400 on Island. Theft if an Ipod and cell phone from a parked bench. Thirty-three-year-old male arrested and booked.

Possession of paraphernalia on Piney way. Male was contacted and arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Miscellaneous incident reports on Morro Bay Boulevard. Resident of Morro Bay provided info regarding subjects selling drugs.

March 26- Vandalism less than $400 on Elm Avenue. Suspect cut off City of Morro Bay Water department lock to his residence water meter.

March 27- Forged Instrument/False on Koa Avenue. Report of stolen checks that were forged to obtain cash.

March 28- Burglary 2nd Degree on Embarcadero. Unknown suspects broke into a locked vehicle a removed stereo system.
