Whale Watch & Underwater Viewing Opportunities
From November to May, Gray Whales can be spotted
on the Central Coast of California! 23,000 of these magnificent
mammals run from the cold toward their winter escape in Baja
California, Mexico and then make their way back to the Bering
Sea in the spring.
Humpbacks are known to put on a special show of
breaching.
Joins us during the summer months especially to
watch humpback whales feed off our beautiful coastline. Join us
throughout the year to see whales. The central coast has
opportunities throughout the year for sightings.
The opportunity to see
whales is truly breathtaking. Keep in mind that the Dos Osos is
an open boat with an unobstructed view; while this is perfect
for prime whale watching, it also means you should dress
appropriately. The weather can change quickly in Morro Bay and
can sometimes get cold during a whale watching tour, so dressing
warmly and in layers is encouraged. We want to make sure you
enjoy your tour as much as possible, so bring sunscreen, a hat,
something to drink, and your sense of adventure!
Our trips depart daily
during the summer months with weather permitting. Winter trips
vary in departure days and time, so calling our office is the
best way to get the current schedule. Keep in mind that this is
nature that we are observing and we try our absolute best to
provide a great trip for everyone aboard.
If the Captain deems the
weather conditions to be unsafe for the tour, we will reschedule
your whale watching trip or give you a full refund.

Above: "Basking shark Morro Bay" from the boat Seahunter. The background music is repetitive and annoying, and the fishermen who took the video have not edited it, but there is some good footage of the basking sharks taken both above and below the surface.

Affordable Memorial Services
We offer a private and personal ash scattering and memorial service on the ocean near Morro Bay. We understand how difficult it can be to say goodbye to a close family member or friend, and we provide a memorable setting in which to do so appropriately. Our goal is to provide you with a suitable service. The memorial gathering can be as formal or informal as you please. Ash scattering services can be attended or unattended.
The ash scattering memorial service takes place aboard the 33ft, U.S. Coast Guard-certified, 22-passenger power catamaran Dos Osos. The Dos Osos is owner-operated by a USCG-Captain, with a Cremated Remains Disposer Permit # CRD 609. Each ash scattering memorial includes an official certificate marking the latitude and longitudinal coordinates of the scattering site. The duration of a typical memorial charter is one hour, but we can accommodate any personal needs.
For more information about ash scattering and memorial services, please contact us.
Visit Sub Sea Tours or call 805 772 9463 for more information.
