A Sampling of What Our Officers Were
Taking Care of Last Month

Between August 1 through August 30, the Morro Bay Police Department logged over 1150 calls.  Here is a sampling of what was going on. 

August 2—Petty Theft on Front St.  Stolen cell phone report.

August 3—Vandalism less than $400 on Monterey Avenue.  Moro Bay resident returns home to find his front door vandalized. 

August 4—Petty Theft on Hemlock.  Flower pot stolen from the front yard. 

            Use of Another's Personal on Shasta.  Victim reported theft of her bank information. That was used to obtain motel accommodations and payment for cell phone service charges.

August 5— Altered/Forged on Shasta. Officers took a report of a forgery. 

August 6—Burglary 2nd Degree on Cedar Avenue.  Victim reported his property of cleaning supplies valued at over $200 was stolen from a residence he was working at.

August 8—Petty Theft on Atascadero Road.  Victim reported bike was stolen.  Victim left bike unlocked and unsecured for several days at Morro Bay High School.

August 9—Robbery on Atascadero Road.  Armed Robbery of the Motel 6.  Female arrested and transported to County Jail.  Male still at large. 

August 10—Burglary 2nd Degree on Sandalwood Avenue.  Bicycle stolen out of unlocked garage attached to the house. 

August 11—Burglary 1st Degree on Luisita.  Church financial folders stolen from a home office. 

August 22—Burglary 1st Degree on Morro Avenue.  Residential burglary interrupted by resident returning home.  Stolen property located abandoned in back yard. 

Petty Theft on Embarcadero.  Report of a theft of wallet. 

August 24—Grand Theft exceeding $400 on Ridgeway. Theft of power tools. 

August 25—Burglary 2nd Degree on Napa Avenue.  Residential burglary.  Dive equipment taken. 

August 26—Petty Theft on Main Street.  Victim made a late report of the theft of her camera, camera case, and Arizona Driver's License. 

August 29—Burglary 2nd Degree on Quintana.  Twenty year old female from Truckee was arrested for Burglary.
